The tags I'm using are ISO15693 RFID tags (13.56 MHz HF Passive RFID Tags). Requirement is not to write any NDEF records to the tags, but just to read the tag ID I have tested reading blank tags using my Asus 6Z phone and an app called NFC Tools available from Google PlayStore. It does read the tag ID. However, I'm not sure whether Rhodes NFC Manager can read the tag ID of the blank (unwritten) tags. I did see a method, NFCTag.get_ID in the documentation [Ref.http://docs.tau-technologies.com/en/2.2.0/rhodes/nfc#getting-determining-type-of-and-connecting-to-a-tag], but I guess this is for reading the tag ID of a tag which already contains NDEF records?
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I correct myself. Just tested it. I'm wrong. NFCTag.get_ID does read the byte array of the tag ID of a blank tag
